Document and disseminate farm history to advance the public's understanding of the important roles of Black farmers.

Improve the access to urban food markets including schools, restaurants, and individual consumers for Black and other underserved farmers.

Forgotten Farmers
African-American Land Loss; Although slave labor created the economic basis of U.S. agriculture, the long-term effects of racism and systemic discrimination from U.S. Department of Agriculture programs continue to sideline African American farmers from land ownership.
