REQUEST INFORMATION

Many African American farmers have lacked access to technical assistance and distribution markets.

In 2021 Farms to Grow, Inc received a statewide two-year grant from California Department of Food and Agriculture CDFA - Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. The project supported 5% of California's 300 African American farmers through customized workshops to build capacity, adopt sustainable practices, soil & water conservation, crop production, crop planning, and orchard production.

The overall goal of the workshop series is to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops grown by historically marginalized African American farmers.
